چکیده

Linear Go is the game of Go played on the 1×n board. Positional Linear Go is Linear Go with a rule set that uses positional superko. We explore gametheoretic properties of Positional Linear Go, and incorporate them into a solver based on MTD( f ) search, solving states on boards up to 1×9.

A positional Judgment System for Computer Go

Computer Go offers researchers a new challenge and opens up a very wide scope of possibilities for artificial intelligence. In a computer Go program, the most important element is a positional judgment system. Following the methods of human Go experts, we designed and implemented a new model of positional judgment for computer Go. This model was employed successfully in a computer Go program, J...

A Linear Classifier Outperforms UCT in 9x9 Go

The dominant paradigm in computer Go is Monte-Carlo Tree Search (MCTS). This technique chooses a move by playing a series of simulated games, building a search tree along the way. After many simulated games, the most promising move is played. This paper proposes replacing the search tree with a neural network. Where previous neural network Go research has used the state of the board as input, o...

Comparison of Positional Release Technique with and without strain-counter strain technique on the pain, neck range of motion in men with active trigger points in upper trapezius muscle

Aims and background: Trigger points are sensitive points in the skeletal muscle and neck muscles that cause referral pain, decrease the range of motion and muscle soreness. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to compare the effect of the Positional Release Technique with and without strain-counter strain technique on the pain, neck range of motion in men with active trigger points in uppe...

Signals in limb development: STOP, GO, STAY and POSITION.

Cell-to-cell interactions in early limb development are considered within the framework of the extracellular signals STOP, GO, STAY and POSITION, a classification which emphasises that the signals are elective rather than instructive, and that complexity arises from cells' response. Patterning in the limb is analysed in terms of signals that specify positional values along the anteroposterior a...

Application of MCTS in Tsumego of Computer Go

The Tsumego problem in Go was a basic and essential problem to be overcome in implementing a computer Go program. This paper proposed a reality of Monte-Carlo tree search in Tsumego of computer Go which using Monte-Carlo evaluation as an alternative for a positional evaluation function. The advantage of this technique was that it requires few domain knowledge or expert input.
